DO NOT MISS THE OPPORTUNITY TO SURRENDER.  Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief-of-Staff General Andres C Centino PA appealed to communist terrorist groups not to miss the opportunity to avail of the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program and return to mainstream society.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is one of the steadfast partners of the Task Force Balik-Loob (TFBL) in implementing the government’s reintegration program. 

In his recent guest appearance in the TFBL’s radio-television program, “Balik-Loob sa Pagbabago,” aired over DWDD (1134kHz) AFP Radio, AFP Chief-of-Staff General Andres C Centino PA appealed to the active members of the communist terrorist groups (CTGs) not to miss the opportunity to avail of the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP), and change their lives for the better like the other former rebels (FRs) who have already reintegrated and received support from the government.

"To those who are still in the mountains and continuously fighting against the government, just look at the former rebels and the changes in their lives,” he said. “The benefits that they enjoyed will also be yours, if you decide to surrender. We will make sure to revive your aspirations in life so that we can help each other as Filipinos." 

According to the AFP Chief, it is the government that can genuinely help the rebels. "(E-CLIP) will provide you with assistance, housing benefits and training with the livelihood you prefer, land and other assistance to meet your needs,” Gen. Centino emphasized. “These are not just for you exclusively, but for your family as well. We shall work together so that we can all progress."

Meanwhile, he expressed his gratitude to the Filipino people for fully supporting the whole-of-nation approach of the government and continuous assistance to the rebel returnees.   

"To our Filipino brothers, we are very thankful sa inyong pakikipagtulungan sa ating local government, sa ating military, sa ating AFP and Philippine National Police, for ensuring that we are able to extend assistance sa ating mga FRs. This is part of the whole-of-nation approach na gusto nating i-implement para bigyan talaga natin ng magandang kinabukasan ang ating mga kapwa Pilipino na sa ngayon ay bumalik na sa ating gobyerno." 

E-CLIP provides benefits that are tailor-fit to the particular needs of the FRs and their families. These benefits include education, skills training, livelihood assistance, financial assistance, housing, healthcare, and legal assistance, among others, delivered through the convergence of various national and local government agencies.
